Man with enormous wings assignment

I think that the old man with enormous wings is just a regular person who happens to have wings. The old man proves that he is no angel by showing that he has no supernatural powers except the power of flight. When the old man is locked up in the chicken coop he becomes sick, and thereby proves his mortality. Based on the fact that I do not believe the old man to be an angel, I think the story means that people should not associate things which they cannot understand with the supernatural.

Iroy of life assignment

I think that the ending is perfect for this short story because the narrator is finally accepting Robert the way he is. when they are both sitting on the floor, drawing the cathedral, the narrator learns how to see with his eyes closed. Before, the narrator thought of Robert as a helpless, unhappy cripple: " I'd always thought dark glasses were a must for the blind. Fact was, I wished he had a pair." But when Robert guides his hand over the paper, and the narrator closes his eyes, he sees the cathedral the way the blind man does. " Then he said: I think that's it. I think you got it, he said. Take a look. What do you think? But I still had my eyes closed. I thought I'd keep them that way for a little longer. I thought it was something I ought to do. Well? he said. Are you looking? My eyes were still closed. I was in my house. I knew that. But I didn't feel like I was inside anything. It's really something, I said."

Better than rl final draft

I believe in the addicting power of Computer games:

Do you want to see new places, meet new people, and be who ever you want? You can do just that by doing what I do: joining the millions of people already playing massive multiplayer online role playing games, or mmorpg's. There are a number of reasons why these games are so popular all over the world. one of those reasons is the aforementioned fact that players can be whoever they like. For example, many people playing the mmorpg World of Warcraft choose their avatar, or their virtual representation of themselves, to be of the opposite gender. Another reason why these games are so popular is because the players can express themselves freely without being judged by their peers.
But I think the main reason why people play games like World of Warcraft, and why I play them, is that you can escape the real world by spending time in virtual worlds with other people who don't care whether you make straight A's or whether you are considered cool or not.
But there is a downside to these games: Many people choose to spend more time in virtual worlds than the real world, neglecting their responsibilities at school, at work, or at home. Like drug addicts, these "addicted" gamers would rather fight evil orcs than spend time with their friends in the real world. They spend more and more time "getting high" on these games. I don't consider myself to be addicted to mmorpgs, yet I would rather play World of Warcraft more than anything else. There have even been a few people who played World of Warcraft nonstop for such a long time that they actually died of exhaustion and lack of sleep. I won't let something like that happen to me. I try to always balance school, homework, and playing games effectively, so that my priorities in daily life are always clear. But for others it's hard to see the point of no return, which is why many have already crossed it.
World of Warcraft is inspite of this still one of my favorite games. In my opinion it's just important to keep in mind that it is easy to get carried away. After all, too much of anything is bad.

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong, it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.
